PERFECT PRIME RIB

I've been searching for the best Prime Rib recipe and I think I just found it.  Of course you don't want to add too much seasoning to a Prime Rib roast since it has so much flavor by itself.

PRIME RIB RUB
8 cloves of garlic minced
2 tbsp olive oil
2 teaspoon of dried thyme
2 teaspoons of salt
2 teaspoons of black pepper

Mix this all together.  Then rub it all around the outside of the prime rib including under the fat cap.

Now let sit for one hour at room temperature.  Bake at 500 degrees for 20 minutes.   Then drop down to 350 degrees for 20 minutes per pound of your roast for a medium rare cooked roast.
